Discoveries in the architectural and engineering studies currently underway may cause the estimate to be higher or lower. The project's design and scope might require adjustment as the enhancement of the National Shrine progresses.

The Renaissance Project represents an important investment in the history, tradition, and spirit of Saint Francis in the city that bears his name. The restoration and enhancement of the National Shrine will ensure its future as a sanctuary and center for culture and learning for all who come to San Francisco and North Beach.
